St. Augustine for a day

We spent Saturday in St. Augustine, FL. I LOVE spending the day in St. Augustine. It is about an hour from our house so it feels like a trip but no hotel stay with a toddler. Also, because of what I do we get into every attraction for free. This trip we went to three museums, Ripley's Believe It or Not, and enjoyed an hour and half long boat cruise. Most importantly we ate amazing food including my favorite salad on earth with creamy garlic dressing, homemade chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches, and for dinner white pizza and a HUGE gourmet meat and cheese platter served over arugula with balsamic reduction.
There are so many attractions in St. Augustine - trains, alligator farms, a lighthouse, two forts, several fun little historic house museums and really just a beautiful city. I do wish the shopping was better.

You have to photograph your child almost every second from birth to teach her to pose for pics like this by the time she is 1.

The fish they are looking at were really cool.

So in love on the boat.

The Tudors weren't quite as sexy as on TV. I always wonder how hard wax museums try to keep the people in scale to their actual height and body shape.
